Michel Noher had to create a life for himself before portraying that of another. When Tristan arrived in her hands, there were barely any essential data that contained the first scripts of Adrift. She knew who he was, where he came from, who he loved, and most importantly, what he needed to do. But for Noher, that was not enough. Entonces, como es habitual cuando un personaje aún no es más que unas pocas páginas, comenzó a escribir.
The Argentine actor portrays a man who rebuilds his life with Lucía (Paula Echevarría), only for the husband they thought was dead to return from the sea: «Tristán is loyal to the affections and debts he feels he must repay.»
Michel Noher had to create a life for himself before embodying that of another. When Tristan came into their hands, there were barely essential data that contained the first scripts of Drifters. She knew who he was, where he came from, who he loved, and most importantly, what he needed to do. But for Noher, that was not enough. So, as is usual when a character is still barely more than a handful of pages, he started writing. He wrote Tristan’s past, imagined his childhood, reconstructed his trip to Argentina, searched for when he might have left Spain and when it would make sense for him to return. It was filling in the gaps that would never appear on screen until creating something resembling a complete existence. «I am from the classical school», he explains. His method involves tracking «the character’s history, who they are and the circumstances that led them to be who they are».
